Who we are

Hi there! I’m Tanya Quinn, owner and director at Pavilion Plays. I am so excited to bring more theater options to my own Clayton community. I direct children’s theater for some pretty amazing places around the triangle, but it’s time to include my own community in the fun!

Why Pavilion? I love the idea of a structure that protects, but is still open and inviting. There is more room on all sides- to include everyone’s talents, efforts, room to grow, to expand our view. The pavilion also protects the best part of childhood- being a kid! We don’t need to rush it. There are amazing foundational skills to learn in theater, without pushing the children to grow up too fast.

Over the past 25 years I have acted in commercials, stage productions, Shakespeare, musicals, long and short form improv, where I currently own an improv company, Lucky Street Comedy, a clean improv show. I teach improv and acting to children from age 7 to 18. I have directed ten children shows since 2021, after taking my own important break directing my greatest group, raising my own children! The pavilion is open. Let’s play!
